My inspiration for this series comes from sketches by the old master Rembrandt van Rijn. I have processed parts of the drawings into graphic elements and then placed them over each other in many transparent layers.
I find the lines of Rembrandt's drawings very appealing. Rough, yet detailed. A nice basis to start my design with. I made the design on the computer. The scarves shown are printed on high-quality Twill silk, but also available in other fabric types.
