Guidelines clearly describes how the outside of a gown should look, but guidelines for the inside are missing. Space for creative thoughts 🙂.
My client wanted a special lining, with a dynamic image with a lot of movement. A river with a fertile bed, water that can go in all directions. She wanted to see themes such as freedom, growth, blossoming and wonder in the lining fabric. Specific wishes, but she gave me a lot of freedom for painting it.
In the end, I painted a beautiful satin silk with all these themes in mind.
A wonderful assignment, where I could give free rein to my creativity. My client was very happy with her lining fabric and I will soon be stretching some of the leftover lining onto a frame to hang as a wall panel in her office.
