During a workshop you will learn what the effect is of working with various transparent layers, allowing it to flow, but also stopping the paint. You are introduced to working with brushes, templates, stamps and other tools. But above all you learn to fill the white silk surface intuitively with color and shape. Every student has access to a large frame on which the silk is stretched. The workshops are given by Ellen Bakker.
For all workshops you do not need experience to participate. You can choose from 1, 2 or 3-day workshops.
The workshops offer a great deal of freedom to fully experiment. This way you can get started with painting samples on silk fabrics. Or work towards a final product, such as beautiful soft silk scarves or fabric for clothing. During the 3-day workshop you can felt the painted silk on the third day with wool.
The workshops are given in Gelderland the Netherlands (Triangle Doetinchem, Vorden and Ruurlo).
There are various B&B options in the area. This is already possible from € 25.00 per person including breakfast.
A workshop day lasts from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
