It turned into a week full of art, colour, form, and new impressions. I visited beautiful museums, wandered through exhibitions, and absorbed everything along the way that moves and inspires me. For the longer distances, I took the train, and in between, I happily cycled from place to place.
The weather was not exactly on my side. Cold, windy, and with frequent heavy rain showers. But somehow, I was lucky: more often than not, I had just arrived indoors when the rain started pouring, and whenever I was out cycling, the sun often decided to appear again. Typical Dutch weather.
But the moment I stepped into a museum, the weather no longer mattered at all. What I saw throughout the week was a celebration of colour, form, materials, and ideas. Exactly the kind of thing that makes me truly happy.
In this blog, I will take you on a brief journey through the places I visited and the art I encountered along the way.
