With a small international group of five students, we spent five full days immersed in painting on silk. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and inspiring — a true joy to be part of.
The workshop was beautifully hosted by Tracy Chaplin and her husband Chris, who treated us every day to the most delicious meals, all made with fresh, local ingredients. We were surrounded by the beauty of their lovely home and enchanting garden, which made the whole experience even more special.
The students — Cecilia Montrul, Cristhian Escobar, Linda Douville, Tracy Chaplin and Nina Tvedt Slipper — created stunning scarves and silk fabrics, and they were delighted to take their beautifully steamed pieces home.
The week was such a success that Tracy and Chris have already invited me to return next May (4-8) — and I’m very much looking forward to it!
A heartfelt thank you to Tracy and Chris for their warm hospitality, and to the wonderful students for their enthusiasm, creativity, and delightful company.
