Lotte had been searching for a colourful wedding dress for ages — until she discovered my website..
Lotte dreamed of getting married in a vibrant, colourful dress. She searched everywhere but couldn’t find anything that truly felt like “her.” Eventually, she bought a plain white dress, hoping to find a way to add her own touch. Not long after, she came across my website and saw several examples of colourful wedding dresses I had previously created.
Since the white dress couldn’t be returned, we decided to turn it into something special. I painted two large, lightweight silk cloths by hand, using bold colours and expressive patterns. Lotte and her mother will transform these into a wide, flowing circle skirt to wear over the white dress — creating a wedding look that is vibrant, personal, and completely her own.
To make it easier for Lotte — and for future brides — to explore colour and pattern options, I created a series of miniature circle skirts. Each one is hand-painted on silk in different colour schemes and styles. These small models offer a tangible and inspiring way to imagine the possibilities during the design process.
The wedding is coming up soon. Photos of the finished dress will follow shortly!
